Questions
The things people usually want to know before booking a call or handing anything over. If something's missing, ask directly, that's what the Time Back Review is for anyway.
Trust and how this works
What exactly does an "operations and systems consultant" do?
I look at how a task or process actually happens in your business today, find where it is costing you time or money, and fix it. That might mean setting up a tool properly, connecting two systems that do not talk to each other, or just showing you a simpler way to do something you have been doing the hard way for years.
How is this different from hiring a virtual assistant?
A VA takes tasks off your plate. I find out why the task is a problem in the first place, then fix it so it stops costing you time, not just once but every time it comes up. My work starts with understanding your business, not just executing whatever you type into a message.
What happens in the free Time Back Review, and what's the catch?
It is a 20 to 30 minute look at how you currently handle one task, followed by a one page breakdown of what it is costing you and how to fix it. No catch. There is no sales pitch built into the call. If automation work makes sense afterward, I will say so, but the review stands on its own either way.
What do you actually get access to, and what stays private?
During the Time Back Review, I only need to see the one task or process we are discussing, nothing more. If we move into implementation work, access is scoped to exactly what the job requires, agreed up front. You should never have to hand over more than the work actually needs.
Google Business Profile and online presence
Do I actually need a Google Business Profile if I already have a website?
Yes, and they do different jobs. Your website is where people go once they have decided to look into you. Your profile is often the first thing they see, before they have decided anything, complete with your hours, reviews, and how far away you are. An incomplete or outdated profile makes an established business look brand new to anyone searching.
Why isn't my business showing up when people search nearby?
A few common reasons: the profile is thin, unverified, or missing photos and reviews. Rankings are based on relevance, distance, and how complete and active your profile looks, not just how long you have existed.
What's the minimum I need to keep my online presence accurate?
Correct contact details, current hours, a handful of real photos, and a habit of responding to reviews. That is the baseline that keeps you from looking abandoned.
Software and systems
How do I know if I'm paying for tools I don't need?
If you cannot say in one sentence what a tool does for you, or if two tools are quietly doing the same job, that is usually a sign. A short audit maps everything you are paying for against what you actually use.
Can you work with the tools I already have instead of replacing everything?
Usually, yes. Replacing everything is rarely the right answer. Most of the time the fix is connecting what you already have properly, not buying something new.
What's actually worth automating in a small business versus not worth the hassle?
Repetitive, rule-based tasks are worth automating: sending the same follow-up email, moving a booking into a calendar, chasing an overdue invoice. Anything that needs judgment or a personal touch usually is not worth forcing into automation.
Do I need to understand the tech to keep it running after you leave?
No. You need to understand what it does and how to tell if it has stopped working. That is a very different bar than understanding how it works underneath, and it is the one I aim for.
Working together
Do you work with businesses outside the Netherlands?
Yes. This is remote work, and I currently work with businesses in Ireland, England, Australia, the US, and the Netherlands.
Do I need a contract or is this one off?
Neither is forced. The Time Back Review has no commitment attached. Beyond that, we agree on scope for the specific job, whether that is a one off fix or ongoing work.
What if I don't know what my problem actually is?
That is the most common starting point, not a reason to wait. Most business owners can describe a symptom but not the cause. That gap is exactly what the Time Back Review is built to close.
What happens if it doesn't work out?
If something isn't working, you tell me and we stop or change course. There's no ongoing commitment you get locked into without a conversation first.
Still have a question?
The Time Back Review is a low pressure way to get a straight answer. Free, 30 minutes, no pitch.
