Before you buy another tool, ask this one question
Here's the one question that would save most small businesses money: "What am I actually trying to fix, and is it the tool that's broken, or the way I'm using it?"
Most of the time, people skip straight to "what software solves this" without answering that first. And once you buy the tool, you're committed, you've spent the money, so now you're trying to make it work rather than stepping back and asking if it was ever the right fix.
A lot of what looks like "we need better software" is actually "we never set this up properly" or "two people are doing the same job in two different places." No new tool fixes that. It just gives the same mess a shinier home.
So before the next purchase: write down, in one sentence, what's actually going wrong. If you can't do that clearly, you're not ready to buy anything yet, you're ready to look closer first.
